OASIS 1944
We are excited to re-introduce OASIS to downtown Gunnison. We have uncovered a collection of photos dating back to 1944 that show the original signage from OASIS at the same location (142 North Main Street). If you have additional photos of the building please email them to oasisgunnison@gmail.com. Our interior will be a full departure from what is has ever been, but we would like to recreate as much as possible from the original OASIS / Historical Gunnison street scape
We're also accumulating a collection of stories and rumors we have heard about the original OASIS. Everything from a shooting range in the basement to the uncomfortable sensation of walking into a room full of mobsters all turning at once.

Our goal is to create a new Gunnison OASIS. We will be sending you abroad and creating an atmosphere and menu from the Southern Pacific. We intend to serve an eclectic cocktail menu paired with an array of food items from all over the Pacific Ocean. (Hawaii, Polynesia, Mexico, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan)
The interior will be a lush environment of live plants and contemporary mid-century modern furnishings, designed to transport you out of Gunnison for a few hours, while you indulge on flavors from the South Pacific. Expect a collection of traditional comfort foods with an Asian flare, as well as some exotic specialties for the adventurous spirits.
Not a tiki-bar, but with a flair and influence from the tropics
